🌍 Why Does My Server's Geolocation Mismatch?
Third-party websites and services (Google, Steam, streaming platforms, online games) may place your server's IP in a different country than the one you ordered. Physically our equipment is always in the stated location — the mismatch comes from how IP databases work across the internet.
How country detection by IP works
There is no single official registry that instantly broadcasts the coordinates of every IP address to all websites. Instead, independent companies maintain commercial databases — MaxMind, IP2Location, DB-IP, and others.

We have no access to third-party servers and databases, so forcing a specific website to change how your location displays is not possible.
What you can do
- Set the region manually. If a service switches you to another country's interface because of the IP, open its settings or your account profile — almost everywhere the region and language can be pinned explicitly, which stops IP auto-detection from mattering.
- Wait for synchronisation. Over time sites pull current database versions and the location starts resolving correctly on its own.
What we are doing
The changes are already recorded in the official internet registries, and manual correction requests have been sent to the major commercial GeoIP databases. The remaining delay depends on how quickly those providers and site owners refresh their records.
This does not affect the VPN
A geo mismatch is about how third-party databases display data, not about server health. If sites do not open through the VPN, the cause is different: Connection troubleshooting.
